The purpose of the 9-hour workshop is to give an introduction on how to build a mobile application using App Inventor 2. Futhermore, the members of MAD Club have been assigned to build a mobile application with the theme of Responsibility towards Nature.
This is the brief description of MIT App Inventor 2 :
App Inventor is a cloud-based tool, which means that you can build apps right in your web browser. This website offers all of the support that you'll need as you learn how to build your own apps.
These are the pictures during the workshop.
One student were provided a PC with a full access of internet (LAN).
The instructor of the workshop is a graduate students of FTSM (member of MyX Lab), Coach Ali Kahwaji.
The morning session, the participants were exposed to the beginner tutorial of using App Inventor.
All the tutorial were easy to understand and simple.
Besides, the instructor also taught us how to use all the features in the software and how to make the application works in our android smartphone.
However, due to the low wireless internet connection, only some student able to view the application on their smartphone. The rest were using emulator (provided in the software).
These are some of simple application that I've created.
In my opinion, it is a great opportunity for me by having a knowledge on how to build my own mobile application.
Besides, i hope there will be another workshop of the advance level for me to attend.
